Empire of the Summer Moon was created by Marcia

My husband is reading a book he got at Costco called" Empire of the Summer Moon". He loves it. It is about the rise and fall of the Comanches. He was excited to find that John Caperton, Texas Ranger, has a part in the book. It seems that many of the Texas Rangers were uneducated and didn't write down their adventures. It seems that John did and there are a lot of his letters used in the book. I haven't read it yet but I will. I thought someone else her would like to know about this.
