Jeff Caperton of Houston is an actor and producer

I was googling Capertons and found this interesting and current information. This Jeff Caperton will be in the new Roots series on TV. He will be in the one that is on the 4th night and he is cast as a gambler named Sir Atkins. You can google him. He is an actor and producer and there are pictures of him but they are copyrighted so I can't post one here. Might be fun to see this series and watch for him.

I watched the series and was sad to watch the story of slavery so vividly portrayed. I know that Hugh Caperton had many slaves and I hope he was a good master and not the bad ones that were shown here. and I can't help but wonder how any of them could have been good to treat humans that way. I have seen the Google Earth view of the location of the slave cemetery above the plantation house in Union, West Virginia and it is a big cemetery. I can't tell if there are any markers when I zoom in. I really want to go up there next time I visit Union and take pictures. If someone that visits this website lives nearby in Union, maybe you could do this for me. I have tried to contact the current owner of the property but I don't get any response. I never did spot this Jeff Caperton in any scenes in the production. The only gambling scenes were around the cock fighting, maybe I blinked.

I probably should have thought a little more about how I titled this subject. It should have been Roots, how does it relate to slavery at the Elmwood Caperton Plantation. Jeff Caperton acts in the series. I really did forget how horrible and realistic this could be.
