Visit this Blog to keep track of whats' happening on this site, and anything else I may have on my mind!. The Blog is open to all to view (including the comments), however, you must be a registered member to add a comment on the entries. Registration helps me to fight spam.

The Mesage Board or "Forum" is now live! I am hoping this will become the center of all conversations that are Caperton in Nature. For those that remember the old message board, this one is far superior and more tightly integrated into the website. However, there is still a risk of Spamming, therefore I have also completed a registration module. For those that just wish to view and read, you will be able to do just about everything on the new site that you used to do on the old site. If you are willing to register there are a few more perks. Once you register, you will be able to, view the Family Tee pages, reply and post topics on the forums; upload family information and GedComs if you wish, comment on these Blog postings; and receive the CAperton Family Newsletter (if I ever get around to writing htem!). AND REGISTRATION IS FREE! So if you are interested, click the Registration link towards the top of the page and I will see you on the inside!

I have begun updating the woefully neglected DNA Project Pages. The Intro and Project Description pages have been updated to include both male and female testing for the DNA Project. I have added a page about the different Testing available (About Test Kits). There is a new page called DNA Tutorial which gives a very brief overview of the testing available to Men and women. Still to do includes adding the several results that have already been returned, and an Frequently Asked Questions page that is specific to the DNA Project.

Clean up is progressing well. Most of the menu links now work, or at least go SOMEWHERE! I have reconnected the forms in the forms/software section; The photo Gallery has all of the original photos back up, but I am still working on getting the descriptions loaded;  The new Family Tree software is finally starting to do what I want it to. It is not yet available but I hope to add a link to it shortly. Also nearing completion is a new and improved message board. Most of these items should be finished by the end of this month.

You may also have noticed that there is a log-in on the home page. The new sitewill allow me to grant registered users access to private areas of the website. Once the site is back together I will go into more detail on this exciting new feature.
